That’s right, just one little joint is all it takes. Smoking pot isn’t going to turn you into a suicidal maniac, or destroy your brain and it certainly won’t coerce you into becoming a crackhead. Pot will ruin your life when someone catches you smoking it.

If I’m caught smoking weed at uni I’ll get kicked off my course and then evicted from private halls – so I’ll be homeless, without a degree and I’ll have to repay my student loan leaving me in serious debt. I’ll be reported to the police who may give me a criminal record which will make it very difficult for me to get a job. My only option would be to move back in with my parents and suffer the shame of being branded a ‘druggie’, and for what? One harmless joint.

On the other hand there are numerous pubs and bars that will sell me booze until I’m passed out on the pavement in a pool of my own vomit, if the police pick me up then uni won’t even be informed. As a sensible and restrained pot smoker with excellent grades I’m seen as a criminal, but as a waste of space drunk I’m seen is normal. Does that seem fair to you? Didn’t think so…
